Going Above and Beyond
In addition to the licensing requirements outlined by the North Carolina Home Inspector Licensure Board:
- Extensive Field Training: Every new home inspector with our company accompanies a veteran professional for training before being cleared for solo work. We will not put a new inspector in the field without meeting our rigorous standards. No inspector will be allowed to inspect independently until they prove they can perform inspections on any home regardless of age, size and complexity.
- Rigorous Vetting: We strictly vet our team to ensure they possess both the technical expertise to identify defects and the communication skills to explain findings clearly to clients.
- Industry Compliance: Our training protocols align with the latest 2026 standards set by the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors (InterNACHI)
- Ongoing Education: To maintain active licenses, inspectors must complete regular continuing education, plus an additional 20 hours selected by the founder.
- Quality Assurance: The owner continues to monitor our home inspectors by consistently “spot checking” their home inspections as well as their reports.
- Growth & Development: In addition or home inspectors engage in ongoing training which ensures they are current on the most up-to-date standards of practice as well as industry trends.
Ultimately, our end goal is to help you understand the house, so we’re careful to avoid jargon and to communicate clearly. This knowledge will enable you to make the best decision for you and your family.
Hunter was an outstanding inspector. He didn't balk at having me present during the inspection (in fact, he encouraged it), welcomed questions, gave explanations that were scaffolded to be both easy to understand and still detailed and comprehensive. He took his time on the property and explored every inch. I still don't know how he managed to fit into certain places in the attic and crawlspace, but he did, and thank goodness he did, because he saved us from a $500k mistake. He took lots of photos and notes and his report was easy to understand. Can't wait to use him again when we make another offer on a home. My realtor also mentioned that he's her new "go to" guy for when clients ask for recommendations.
